The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council was established in July 2014 with the support of the Commonwealth Secretariat. The CWEIC is a not for profit membership company with a mandate to facilitate increased trade and investment across the Commonwealth.
We do this by helping Commonwealth Governments attract investment, promote enterprise and improve the business environment. We also work with member companies to expand their businesses and to help with new investments in any Commonwealth country.
Initially the CWEIC will focus on a small number of priority programmes including economic governance and good business practice, infrastructure investment, sustainability, supporting SMEs access new markets through our Commonwealth First initiative, women in business and youth entrepreneurship.
We are delighted to announce the launch of the Global Goals Commonwealth Sustainable Business Challenge, encouraging the business community to hold an informed Board discussion to understand and address their impact on the Global Goals.
