Commonwealth Business Forum

Apia, Samoa, 23-24 October 2024

Since its inception in 1997, the Commonwealth Business Forum has grown to be a critical part of the global Business-to-Government calendar. As the 56 Commonwealth leaders gather for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), we will convene a world-leading gathering of global experts from businesses and the private sector for dialogue, networking, and engagement.

The Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) 2024 is the first held in the Pacific region since 2011, and the first held in a Small Island Developing State. This year’s CBF will take a lead from its host, reflecting the objectives and aspirations of the Commonwealth Pacific and small island member states, but it will remain the premier location to engage with Commonwealth Governments and provide networking opportunities with your peers and beyond.

Businesses will sit with governments to focus on the theme “One Resilient Common Future: Transforming Our Common Wealth”, underpinned by 5 critical thematic pillars: Access to Finance, Tech and Innovation, Reducing Barriers to Trade, Sustainability and Resilience and Transforming the Workforce.

The purpose of CBF is to convene Commonwealth expertise to bridge the gap between government and the private sector, and to recommend and champion Commonwealth-led solutions to global challenges.

The Government of Samoa will host the Commonwealth in the Pacific – and we expect representation from the 56 member nations. We have strong indications from across Africa, India, Asia and the Caribbean that this CHOGM will provide a vital platform for global dialogue and the Commonwealth Business Forum a critical opportunity to ensure that the business voice is heard.

Spaces are limited at this CBF, so early engagement is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. Strategic Partners of CWEIC will be contacted directly by the CBF Programmes Team to discuss your role at CBF.
