As a Senior Partner at Ashong Benjamin & Associates in Accra, Ghana, David Addo-Ashong offers unparalleled legal, investment and corporate banking acumen cultivated over a distinguished career.
A true pioneer in Ghana’s capital markets, David was at the forefront of its development, leading the implementation of the Ghana Stock Exchange’s first renounceable rights issue and orchestrating the groundbreaking cross-border listing of Ashanti Goldfields Company in 1994.
This deep financial expertise is further underscored by the two years he acted as Board Chairman at Republic Bank Ghana and his previous tenure as Deputy Managing Director at First Atlantic Merchant Bank.
Today, David is a trusted advisor to companies in the oil and gas sector and a strategic partner in structuring complex investments for private equity funds and other investors. His corporate law practice is characterised by a rigorous approach to due diligence in corporate finance, including facilitating onward bound investments and a proven track record in high-stakes petroleum agreement negotiations in Ghana.
