Mr Asif Chaudry is a Consultant Robotic Cancer Surgeon at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and The Institute of Cancer Research in London. A graduate of Oxford University with distinction and the recipient of an academic prize scholarship, he brings over 24 years of experience within the NHS to his clinical and academic practice.

 

Specialising in robotic oesophageal and gastric cancer surgery, Mr Chaudry co-founded the International Upper GI Robotic Association (UGIRA) and played a pivotal role in pioneering the UK’s first Da Vinci Xi robotic program for thoracic oesophageal and gastric cancer at The Royal Marsden in 2015. He currently leads the most comprehensive minimally invasive upper gastrointestinal cancer surgery service in London.

 

In addition to his clinical roles, he is the joint lead investigator of the ICONIC trial—the first perioperative immunotherapy trial for oesophagogastric cancer. Beyond medicine, Mr Chaudry is also an active investor in the health and fintech sectors.
