InvestSarawak has joined CWEIC as a Strategic Partner, bringing Sarawak’s sustainable economic growth agenda to the Commonwealth.
InvestSarawak is Sarawak’s dedicated agency for investment promotion and facilitation, established to deliver the state’s Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030. Its mission is to position Sarawak as a green investment destination of choice in Southeast Asia by unlocking opportunities in renewable energy, digital economy, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, and sustainable industries.
Working in close partnership with government, state-owned enterprises, and the private sector, InvestSarawak offers end-to-end support for investors — from regulatory guidance and site selection to talent development and ESG alignment. The agency is building confidence for global investors while connecting Sarawak’s green growth agenda to international opportunities.
Timothy Ong Wye Ern, Chief Executive Officer, brings more than 20 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors. Timothy has advised government leaders, senior officials, and international executives on investment strategies, and has led national initiatives on innovation and sustainability in Malaysia.
Speaking about the new partnership, Timothy said:
