JP Fabri Becomes New Country Director For CWEIC’s Malta Hub

CWEIC is pleased to announce the appointment of JP Fabri as Country Director for Malta, further strengthening the organisation’s engagement with Malta and its work across the Commonwealth.

JP is an Africa-focused entrepreneur and impact-driven economist, bringing extensive experience in financial inclusion, economic resilience, and policy innovation. He is the co-founder of TapSeed, a next-generation financial platform, and MyUbuntu, a mission-driven venture unlocking agricultural insurance for smallholder farmers across Africa. He is also a co-founding partner of Seed, a research-driven advisory firm specialising in economic strategy, governance, and economic transformation.

An economist by background, JP has advised multiple governments on policy reform, resilience, and systemic transformation. His experience spans global advisory roles, investment firms, and central banking, providing him with a strong understanding of finance, systems, and impact-led development.

Welcoming the appointment, Lord Marland, Chairman of CWEIC, noted:

“JP’s background and focus on impact-led growth strongly complements CWEIC’s mission to strengthen trade and investment links across the Commonwealth, particularly for small and developing economies, making him a very exciting addition to our global team.”

Commenting on his appointment, JP added:

“I am delighted to take up the role of Country Director for Malta at CWEIC. The Commonwealth offers a unique platform for collaboration, trade, and investment, and I look forward to working with partners across the network to help unlock inclusive and sustainable economic opportunities for Malta.”

As Country Director for Malta, JP will support the ongoing work of the Malta Hub, promote engagement with Commonwealth markets, and contribute to CWEIC’s efforts to unlock inclusive economic opportunities across its global network.

CWEIC looks forward to working closely with JP in his new role and to further strengthening Malta’s contribution to the Commonwealth’s trade and investment agenda.
