An astute litigator and negotiator, Anand has developed a strong track record of successfully representing high profile clients in criminal and civil litigation including in the areas of real estate, commercial disputes, white collar crime, intellectual property, anti-trust, information technology, insolvency and restructuring. He has also succeeded in getting several large commercial transactions concluded across a wide range of industries and geographies. Mr Desai’s work has been recognised through a number of notable appointments, including his appointment as a member of the Court of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). He was also appointed by the Government of India, Ministry of Law and Justice, as Chairman of the Committee tasked with recommending amendments to the Specific Relief Act, 1963, proposals that were subsequently enacted into law. In addition, he has served as Vice Chair of the CII National Committee on Legal Services and as National President of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, reflecting his engagement at the intersection of law, policy, and international business.
