CWEIC Chairman, Lord Marland, was invited as a Guest of Honour to the Institute of Directors (IOD) India’s 2025 Annual London Global Convention, held from 4–7 November at The Montcalm Mayfair, London. This year’s theme, “Boards in an unpredictable world: navigating geopolitical shifts, climate crises and technological disruptions,” brought together global leaders, policymakers and senior executives for four days of discussion, learning and exchange.

As part of the programme, Lord Marland delivered an address at the House of Lords UK Parliament Global Business Meet and Welcome Luncheon, a dedicated forum focused on promoting trade and investment. The event offered an important opportunity to engage with international business figures, government representatives and experts from industry, while also providing access to world-class case study presentations and high-level dialogue on current global challenges.

Throughout the convention, participants were able to network with more than 400 leaders from around the world, meet winners of the Golden Peacock Awards, and take part in a series of interactive sessions and special engagements, including a session at the University of Westminster.

Lord Marland extended his thanks to the Institute of Directors (IOD) India team for the opportunity to contribute to the convention and to be part of an event that continues to support growth, collaboration and shared insight across regions.
