CWEIC Ghana Office Forges New Partnerships in Liberia, Expanding Commonwealth Business Reach

John Obeng Apea, the Head of Mission of CWEIC’s Ghana Office had a productive meeting with Dr Josephine Nkrumah, ECOWAS Representative to Liberia, and Mr. James Strother, President of the Liberia Indigenous Business Association. They discussed potential strategic partnerships and the work of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), aiming to introduce Liberian businesses to the Commonwealth, known for its GDP exceeding 13.1 trillion USD.

While attending the inauguration of H.E Joseph Boakai, President of Liberia, Mr Apea had the privilege to engage with prominent figures including Cllr Oswald Tweh, President of the Liberia Chamber of Commerce, and Hon. Natty B. Davis II, President-Elect of the Liberian Chamber of Commerce, in the company of H.E Dr Josephine Nkrumah and Mr Kojo Hastings, Ghanaian British Industrialist.

Discussions revolved around strategic partnerships with CWEIC, highlighting its role as the official business network of the Commonwealth, and the advantageous environment it creates for intra-Commonwealth trade, being 21% cheaper for member businesses.
