During Lord Marland’s visit to the Maldives, he met with Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Economic Development and Trade.

Accompanied by Her Excellency, Caron Röhsler, the British High Commissioner to Maldives, discussions focused on working closely on deepening trade and investments between the UK and the Maldives, with an emphasis on exploring new avenues for economic collaboration and identifying opportunities for mutual benefit.

The Maldives is exploring opportunities for economic diversification, including renewable energy initiatives and sustainable fisheries management, to reduce dependence on traditional sectors and foster inclusive growth and CWEIC looks forward to supporting this work.
