The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) was honored to welcome The Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Professor Michael Mainelli, along with the Lady Mayoress and Sheriff Dame Susan Langley, to Singapore as part of their regional visit under the Mayoral theme “Connect to Prosper.”

During the visit, the Lord Mayor delivered a speech on “Transforming Public Safety and Security through Science and Technology,” highlighting the crucial role of consistent international standards, especially in AI regulation. This has been a catalyst in the development of the Lord Mayor’s Ethical AI initiative delivering ethics courses for those working in financial services, science, and tech.
