Victorian Innovation Lighting the Way Across the Commonwealth

Melbourne-based Lindo has developed pioneering UV-C and antimicrobial blue lighting systems that neutralise 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, including COVID-19. From hospitals to defence facilities and airports, their technology offers a chemical-free, sustainable method of safeguarding people in critical environments.

Through the Victoria Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a CWEIC Strategic Partner, and Global Victoria, Lindo has been supported to take its innovation to global markets. In a major milestone, Lindo is now exploring with Airbus Helicopters how its antimicrobial blue light technology could deliver stronger health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes for aircraft operators and passengers.

This partnership was commemorated at the Avalon Australian International Airshow, where Victorian Premier the Hon. Jacinta Allan joined Airbus Managing Director Christian Venzal and Lindo CEO Robert Gangi to celebrate the collaboration.

Supported by the Victorian Government, Defence Australia and Global Victoria, the initiative highlights how Commonwealth-linked networks can help local innovators build global capability.

By working with world leaders in aerospace, Lindo’s technology has the potential to make aviation, and Commonwealth communities worldwide, safer and healthier.
