Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA) Joins CWEIC as Strategic Partner

We are delighted to announce that the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA) has officially joined the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council as a Strategic Partner.

The formal signing ceremony took place at London’s historic Guildhall and was honoured by the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council. The new partnership marks a pivotal step in strengthening economic ties between Zanzibar and the broader Commonwealth network.

ZIPA serves as a semi-autonomous government agency dedicated to fostering, facilitating, and providing aftercare services for both local and foreign investments in Zanzibar. The Authority plays a crucial role in propelling the country’s economic transformation by attracting high-quality investments that align with Zanzibar’s long-term development objectives.

Executive Director Mr Saleh Saad Mohamed, who will represent ZIPA on CWEIC’s Global Advisory Council, is a distinguished public administrator and investment expert with a proven track record in driving investment-led growth. Speaking on the new partnership, he said:

“Joining CWEIC reflects our commitment to fostering meaningful global partnerships. We look forward to leveraging this dynamic network to attract strategic investments and drive sustainable economic growth in Zanzibar.”

We are delighted to welcome ZIPA to the CWEIC network and look forward to working closely together to support inclusive, high-impact investment across the Commonwealth.
