The Government of Bangladesh, in partnership with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), is pleased to announce the upcoming Commonwealth-Bangladesh Green Business Award 2025.
Launched at COP26 in 2021, this award was established to encourage Commonwealth businesses to adopt sustainable practices through innovation and technology. Since its inception, it has recognised enterprises—particularly start-ups and SMEs—that are driving forward the sustainability agenda and demonstrating how business can contribute meaningfully to addressing global environmental challenges.
Applications are open to businesses registered in any Commonwealth country. This is not limited to Bangladesh-based businesses; the award seeks to recognise outstanding contributions from across the Commonwealth community.
The winner will receive a £10,000 cash prize and will be invited to attend CWEIC’s Global Advisory Council Meeting in London on 25 November 2025, where the award will be formally presented. The winner will also have the pleasure of attending the Commonwealth Banquet at Mansion House that evening.
Applications will be assessed by a distinguished panel of judges with expertise in business, academia, and sustainability. The closing date for applications is Friday, 17 October 2025, and the winner will be notified by the end of October.
To apply, download the Application Form and review the Awarding Criteria. Completed applications should be submitted to award@cweic.org before the deadline.
We encourage all eligible Commonwealth businesses—particularly those driving innovation and sustainable impact—to apply and showcase their contributions to building a greener future.
