CWEIC Chairman Lord Marland recently spoke with Doha News on the opportunities for closer engagement between Qatar and the Commonwealth, and the role of the Commonwealth’s 56-nation network in supporting both inward and outward trade and investment.
In the interview, Lord Marland outlined how Qatar can work more closely with Commonwealth markets through structured collaboration, highlighting the facilitative role of CWEIC in connecting governments, businesses and investors. He also reference how the contribution of Strategic Partners such as Lulu Group enable valuable cross-border trade connecting the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the US, as well as the significant need and opportunity for investment in Small Island States.
The discussion underscored the potential for deeper, long-term partnerships between Qatar and the Commonwealth, grounded in practical cooperation and shared economic interests.
