CWEIC congratulates Strategic Partner Virtual InfoSec Africa (VIA) on the successful launch of Africa’s largest and most advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-driven managed security and digital forensic services centre, located in Accra, Ghana.
The newly launched facility, powered by Exabeam’s behavioural analytics platform and enhanced by partnerships with Exabeam and Arctic Security, marks a major milestone in Ghana’s cyber resilience efforts. Designed to reduce upfront investment by over 90% and cut operational cybersecurity costs by more than 50%, the centre will offer real-time threat detection, managed detection and response (MDR), and vulnerability management — all delivered by a skilled team of Ghanaian analysts.
Virtual InfoSec Africa is a leading Ghanaian cybersecurity firm known for delivering locally relevant, world-class solutions. VIA supports a wide range of public and private sector organisations across West Africa, offering services in security architecture, compliance, digital forensics, and awareness training.
Speaking at the launch, Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority emphasised the importance of keeping pace with rapidly evolving threats.
“The threat landscape is evolving at breakneck speed… we need to build resilience at an equally faster pace,” said Isaac Socrates Mensah, on behalf of CSA Director General Divine Selase Agbeti.
VIA’s Head of Security Operations, Norvisi Addo, echoed this urgency:
“Traditional defence mechanisms are being outpaced… Whether we like it or not, AI has come to stay — especially in the hands of cyber attackers.”
As cyber threats grow more complex and costly, this initiative from VIA sets a new standard for scalable, locally led cybersecurity solutions across the African continent. Read more here: https://theannouncergh.com/article.php?id=9570
